A mild steel elbow is a type of pipe fitting used to change the direction of flow in a pipeline. Manufactured from low-carbon steel (mild steel), these elbows are cost-effective, strong, and widely used in low- to medium-pressure applications.

🔹 Types of MS Elbows

1. By Angle

   • 90° Elbow → changes flow direction by 90°

   • 45° Elbow → changes flow direction by 45°

   • 180° Elbow (Return Bend) → reverses flow direction

2. By Radius

   • Short Radius (SR): Center to end distance = 1 × pipe diameter

   • Long Radius (LR): Center to end distance = 1.5 × pipe diameter

3. End Connection

   • Butt Welded

   • Socket Welded

   • Screwed (Threaded)
