Working principle:
Water flows through the meter body and turns a horizontal-axis turbine (impeller).
The speed of rotation is proportional to the velocity of water flow.
A magnetic coupling transfers this motion to a register that displays the water volume.
Types:
Parallel-axis (turbine) Woltman meters → impeller axis parallel to the pipe.
Tangential (cross-flow) Woltman meters → impeller axis tangential to the pipe.
